Submit your charger in the Plugroo app: connector type, power, a photo, and an approximate location you choose. Takes a few minutes.

We review it
We check the listing looks genuine and you're contactable, then publish it. You get a preview link right away so you can see your listing while it's being reviewed.

Drivers find you
Your charger appears on the map with an approximate location. Drivers see your first name and phone number, and contact you to arrange the rest.
Your address stays private
- The map never shows your exact address — only an approximate area that you choose.
- Your listing shows your first name and a contact number. Nothing else about you is published.
- Photos are checked so they don't reveal your house number, and location data is stripped from every photo automatically.
- You can pause or remove your listing anytime in the app.
Questions
Does it cost anything?+
No. Listing is free and Plugroo never takes a cut of anything. We don't process payments at all.
Can I ask drivers to contribute to the electricity cost?+
That's entirely between you and the driver. Some owners share for free, others ask for a small contribution. Plugroo isn't involved in any arrangement.
Do I have to be available all the time?+
No. Drivers contact you first, and you decide if and when it suits. You can pause your listing whenever you like.
Will people show up unannounced?+
Your exact address isn't shown, so drivers need to contact you to get it.
What about insurance and tax?+
Sharing your charger may have insurance or tax implications depending on your circumstances. We recommend checking with your insurer and, if you receive payments, considering your tax obligations. Plugroo can't advise on these.
What kind of charger do I need?+
Any safely installed home EV charger. It must have been installed by a licensed electrician. Both tethered and socket-only units are fine — just tell drivers what to expect in your listing.
