02
What Plugroo is (and is not)
- 2.1Plugroo is a directory and referral service only. We display Listings and enable Users to contact Owners.
- 2.2We are not a party to any arrangement between an Owner and a User. We do not process payments, take bookings, or set prices.
- 2.3We do not inspect, test, certify, or verify the safety, installation, or compliance of any Home Charger. Our review of a Listing checks only that the charger appears to exist, that the photos are genuine, and that the Owner is contactable.
- 2.4A published Listing is not an endorsement of the Owner or the Home Charger.
03
Owner eligibility and declarations
By submitting a Listing, the Owner declares that:
- 3.1they are at least 18 years old and have the legal right to offer charging at the listed property (as the property owner, or with the written consent of the property owner or landlord, and with strata approval where required);
- 3.2the Home Charger was installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable Australian standards (including AS/NZS 3000) and is maintained in safe working order;
- 3.3the information in the Listing is true and kept up to date; and
- 3.4they have considered whether their home and contents insurance covers this activity, and understand that Plugroo provides no insurance of any kind.
04
Owner responsibilities

The Owner is solely responsible for complying with any laws that apply to charging for electricity or services, and for their own tax obligations (including declaring income to the ATO and paying GST where applicable).
- 4.2The Owner is responsible for the safety of Users while on their property and for complying with all applicable laws.
- 4.3The Owner should respond to User contact reasonably promptly, and must pause or remove the Listing when the charger is unavailable for an extended period.
05
Listing content and location privacy
- 5.1A Listing shows an approximate location chosen by the Owner, not the exact address. Plugroo displays the suburb-level area only, and the Owner is responsible for choosing an approximate pin they are comfortable with.
- 5.2The Owner consents to Plugroo displaying their first name and phone number to Users as the contact method, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- 5.3Photos must not show house numbers or other details that identify the exact address. Plugroo removes location metadata from uploaded photos, but the Owner is responsible for the visible content of their photos.
- 5.4The Owner grants Plugroo a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the Listing content (including photos) in the Plugroo apps and website for the purpose of operating the service.
06
Review, publication and removal
- 6.1Listings are subject to review before publication. Plugroo may decline or remove any Listing at its discretion, including for safety concerns, complaints, inaccurate information, or inactivity.
- 6.2Plugroo may suspend or pause Listings that appear inactive or where the Owner is unresponsive.
- 6.3The Owner can pause or delete their Listing at any time in the app.
07
Prohibited conduct
- 7.1The Owner must not list property they do not own or control.
- 7.2The Owner must not provide false or misleading information.
- 7.3The Owner must not use the platform to harass or harm any person.
08
No warranty and liability
- 8.1The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law, whose consumer guarantees are not excluded where they apply), Plugroo excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from a Listing, a charging session, or any interaction between an Owner and a User.
